Run the same steps on a list of URLs
The same few clicks on fifty product pages, or the same check on every page of your own site: with Pro, give a LoopClicker scenario a list of URLs and it runs on each page in turn while you do something else.
Step by step
- Make the scenario on one of the pages first: record it or start from a template, and check that it works there.
- In the editor, open the scenario's URL list and paste the addresses, one per line, or import them from a column of a CSV file.
- Set the pause between pages, and a random extra pause if you like.
- Press Run. LoopClicker lists the sites in your list and asks Chrome for permission for all of them at once.
- It opens one background tab and runs the scenario on each page in turn. A page that fails is skipped and noted, and the rest carry on.
- Stop it whenever you like and resume later. When it ends, the run log shows each page's result, and data from Read steps is in one table for Download CSV.
Want to try it first? The test page has buttons, a click area, a form and more to practise on — nothing on it is sent anywhere.
How a URL list runs
- One page at a time, in one background tab that LoopClicker opens for the run. Your other tabs are left alone.
- After each page it waits the pause you set, plus a random extra pause if you chose one, then opens the next.
- A page that fails — an element not found, a page that does not load — is skipped and noted with the reason, and the run moves on.
- It works with collecting data: values read on every page land in one table, ready for Download CSV or Copy for Sheets.
Permissions
To run on pages you have not opened yourself, LoopClicker needs permission for their sites. Before the first run it shows the sites in your list and asks Chrome for all of them at once — never for every site. You can take any of them back in Chrome's extension settings.
Free and Pro
URL lists are part of Pro. Free scenarios run on the tab you start them on.
What it cannot do
- Only web addresses (http and https). Chrome's own pages and the Chrome Web Store are never automated.
- Pages that need you to be signed in work only if you are signed in to that site in this browser.
- It runs one page at a time, on purpose. Keep the pause reasonable so you do not overload a site or break its rules.
